Curling your hair

Merry Christmas! So I got a curling iron (new one. mine broke) and I just tried it out. It is amazing. It is a wand curling iron and I love it. If you want to get curls that look like Taylor Swift's then this is the curling iron for you! Make sure you get a WAND one. The regular barrel ones won't give the good tight curls. The smaller the piece of hair, the tighter curl you get. The bigger the piece, the looser the curl. If your hair is annoying and doesn't hold a curl, make sure you spray it with hairspray after or prep it with mousse. Leaving the curling iron on your hair too long damages your hair. LEAVE IT NO LONGER THAN 30 SECONDS. Also be careful of your fingers and to to burn them. That is very bad. Mine came with a weird glove thing that protects your 3 fingers but I don't use it. I just *carefully* wrap it around. If you have any questions just leave a comment and I'll answer it. Hope this helped and MERRY CHRISTMAS! :)

Crushes

Ok so I haven't blogged in a while, and I know that no one really reads this but I really want to talk about crushes. So crushes are really frustrating. You like him, but then you don't want to talk to him, you don't really know what to do. And then there is that heart breaking moment when another girl comes in and takes him away. The important thing to do is get over it. There are guys every where. You need to move on and you can't just be focused on one person. Another thing to remember is just be yourself and don't stalk him. No one likes a person who comments on everything on Facebook or likes all of your pictures. And don't text him all the time. Wait a few days in between. That's all for now, just wanted to get a blog in before tomorrow.

Pressure and how to deal with it

If you are in high school, you probably are feeling a lot of pressure now from your parents, your friends, your teachers, everyone. You want to get into a good school, you want to play sports, you want to hang with friends, but one person is only capable of so much! If you are feeling pressure from your parents to do well in school, you need to make sure that you get all of your homework done on time and if you can, do it early. If you get things done early, that leaves you with more free time. when you have a huge test, make sure you don't cram the night before or the say of. It just makes things more stressful and will probably result in a lower grade. If you are feeling pressure from your friends for whatever reason (to be popular, do certain things that you aren't into ect.) just listen to your better judgement. If you know what you are doing is bad, don't do it. Only do things you know are ok and feel comfortable with. If your friends are trying to get you do bad things (i.e. drugs, drinking, ect.) you need to find new friends and don't get caught up with that stuff. Remember what you do now effects what your future is like. I hope this helped and hope that I get to post more posts more often!

Daily Routine

So I have seen some beauty gurus get requests to write about their daily routine like makeup and just things in general and so I thought that would be something fun to do! So here it goes:
In the morning I try to get up but I usually just sleep for another 45 minutes. Once I finally get out of bed, I go down stairs, have breakfast then get changed. After that I put on my makeup (Depends on the day but I usually go with some mascara and eye shadow) and double check that I have everything. Then I go to school. When we get released, I get my stuff and sometimes will go to the library to meet up with some friends but usually go home. When I get home the first thing I do is get a bagel. I don't know why but it's just the one food I love so much and have to have a bagel! Once I have had my precious bagel, I knock out my homework then get in my jam jays (pjs). I need to be comfy and I am always freezing so I need to be warm! After that I usually just read or watch some videos before dinner. When dinner is over we all usually go in the family room and watch some TV and I get tired really easily so I go upstairs and get ready for bed. Doing things like taking off my makeup, brushing my teeth, putting in my retainer, are all part of my nightly routine. And then I fall asleep. Yup, that's my day! Comment below about your usual routine!

Nail care

Taking care of your nails is important.  Trimming your nails when they get to long is a must because who wants long yucky nails? (No offense if you have long nails. I just don't like them.) If you play sports then you probably already have short nails. Biting your nails is a bad habit and I admit I do bite my thumb nails but I m trying to break that habit. Painting your nails is something I love to do and I'm sure that almost every other girl in the world loves to change the color of their nails. After you paint your nails, it is important to take the polish off when it starts to chip. Chipped nails look bad and also the paint can turn your nails yellow after a while. Note: If you wear tons of nail polish then your nails will turn yellow. It's best to take the polish off after a few days and not wear anything for a while. Hope this helped!

Dances-Middle School

School dances are one of the biggest social gatherings. It's fun and you get to hang out with your friends. Middle school dances seem like a big deal when you are in middle school but later you look back and see how much you worried about your outfit and hair when you really didn't. Here are some middle school dance tips that I have picked up.
1. Don't wear Uggs to the dance! It will be hot and you will be sweaty.
2. Avoid wearing open toed shoes. I did and my feet got crushed. The next day my toes were purple.
3. Don't wear tons of makeup. Guys don't find that attractive and you only want to enhance your beauty.
4. Don't be afraid to ask someone to dance! You will just regret it later and it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all!
5. Make sure you wear something appropriate. Nothing too short or tight. It just looks bad and it doesn't look pretty on anyone.
6. You don't have to go to the dances. Have a Friday night in with some friends.
Hope this helped

Stress

Ok I haven't posted anything in a while... My bad. I've been wicked busy and I know that sounds like a lame excuse but I am not lying! Anyway, stress is something that we al go through. I have been going through it, and I'm sure that some of you have too. Stress causes breakouts and I know this first hand when I got home from school and found I had three new zits on my face! I always take care of my skin and usually never breakout so I was pretty mad. I got to work right away and applied some of my Lush oily skin scrub and then applied some DHC acne spot treatment. Now they are mostly gone but then I realized how stressed I was. I have to go to school then go to practice and then do my homework. So I am working hard almost all day. My only free time is about nine and I'm exhausted then so I have to sleep. Important thing to do when your stressed that I find most helpful.
1. Get all f your work out of the way so then you have time to do stuff later.
2. Lie down, read a good book and relax!
3. Pamper yourself! Pampering is one of my favorite things to do when stressed. :)
4. Sleep! Not enough sleep can lead to stress.
5. Drink water. Being hydrated makes you feel so much better and refreshed.
6. Plan a fun day with friends. It could just be hanging out but do something fun.
7. Get around to doing something you have been wanting to do!
That's all for now. Hope to write more soon!

Your turn

I have been blogging for a little bit (like a month or so) and I want to know what you want me to write about! Leave a comment and maybe I'll write about it!

Yummy Treats that are good for you!

Everyone has their own little guilty pleasure. Mine is chocolate and most everyone I know loves chocolate! But if you are trying to watch what you eat or just want to be more healthy, there is one great brand that had little calories and tastes awesome. Skinny Cow. The Skinny Cow used to just make ice cream but now they make candy! Yay! There are also some great brownies that are amazing from Fiber One I think. I tried my first one when I was at my friend's house and it was one of the greatest tasting brownies that I have ever had. Her family is really healthy and doesn't buy real candy. They get the type that has like 80 calories. But these brownies tasted amazing and they were only 90 calories! So that is about it.... But remember it's ok to have some chocolate that's not low fat (do they make low fat chocolate???). Hope this helped!

Tips to stay healthy during the school year

I know that I posted a similar post a while ago but this is kind of an updated one. So during the school year you get stressed out a lot about projects, homework, and other things. If you go to high school then there is a good chance that there is a fitness gym in there (like with weights and treadmills). I highly recommend doing your homework right after school and not doing anything until it's done. Afterwards get changed into workout clothes and run a couple miles or whatever workout that you prefer to do. Eating right is another great way to stay healthy. For breakfast I usually have a smoothie with lots of strawberries and natural yogurt. I usually use Chobani Greek yogurt. It is a good source of protein and if your a vegetarian like me, you need to get as much protein you can get. You can add whatever type of fruit that you want or change the yogurt, it's just what you want. That should keep you full and give you plenty of energy for a while. At lunch time make sure that you pack something that you like and that's good for you. Salads or veggie wraps are good for lunch. After school (after you do your homework) a good snack is cheese and crackers or celery and all natural peanut butter. Hope this helps!

Let's talk bras.

Bras are very important, in case you don't know that. Now the key to finding the right bra is knowing, size, type of bra, and colors. I have 3 types of bras: sports, strapless, and regular bras. Most of them are white, black, or skin colored, but I do own some fun ones. ;) Shopping for the right bra is also important. I know some people who go to Victoria's Secret because they have great bras, and they size you there. Well that is great but price wise, not so much. It's pretty expensive for like two bras so I don't suggest going there. Besides, they mostly have push ups. There is a new great bra store called Aerie. Aerie is decently priced and has some wicked cute bras! Check it out! But if you just want some regular old bras, TJ Max is a good place to get them. You can get a lot of them for not that much. And here is a sports tip: Don't play sports with a regular bra! The straps fall down and it becomes very uncomfortable. Sports bras are the way to go. Anyway, that's all for now! Hope this helped!

How to stay organized

Over the school year, it's important to stay organized. It makes it easier to remember when you have tests, homework assignments, and projects. Usually schools give agenda books to the students, but sometimes they don't. If you don't have an agenda book (which in case you didn't know, is a planner) you can get one at like CVS or Walgreens or someplace like that. They're not that expensive and also are a good way to keep track of stuff. A clean desk is a clean mind. Keeping a clean desk or locker is also a good way to stay focused and generally, if you have a clean room, you sleep better at night. (It's true, I sleep way better when my room is clean then messy.) Another plus to having an organized room/locker/desk is that it makes finding things so much easier! If you have keys for your house, a good way to keep from losing them is to put them or a lanyard, put them on a key chain, or make a necklace out of them. You can take an old chain and put your keys on it. It keeps them from being lost and they makes a good accessory. ;) Eating healthy and getting enough sleep is a great way to stay on top of everything. After I get a god night's sleep, have a good breakfast, and workout, I feel great. (You don't have to work out.) You need enough energy for the day and breakfast is the most important meal of the day! These are a few ways to stay organized! Have a great rest of the summer and good luck when you return to school!

How to deal with bullying

Being bullied is one of the worse things that could happen to you, but you need to try and ignore bullies. If your getting bullied online, print out the things that they say and keep a record. You need to make sure that when you tell an adult you have proof. The second thing to do, is block them. If you get bullied on Facebook you can block people and I think that most sights have the option of blocking people. Third is try to ignore it. If it gets really bad delete your account or just not go on anymore. If you get bullied verbally tell someone. That is kind of obvious. Second is tell them to leave you alone. I know what it's like to be made fun of and I hated it.  But I am telling you now, things do get better. I know it's today and today is bad, but just think that tomorrow things will get a little better. Then the next day will get better, and the next day and the next day ect.ect. But you never give up. I really want to let people know never to give up. It will get better. I hope this helped and I hope if that you are going though some bully related issues, things turn out ok. :)

Bad days

Everyone has them. Some worse than others, but we need to get through them. I know what it's like to fell really stressed or overworked, or even just ignored, but we need to move on. Here are some ways to get over bad days or make them better.

1. Go for a walk/run. It really helps to clear your head and you should sleep better at night.
2. Read a book. Sometimes when you read a good book, it helps take you away from the real world and be transported to another.
3. Be with friends. Being with friends is one of the best ways to feel better. I cannot tell you how many times I have vented to my friends and afterwards, I feel so much better.
4. Write your feelings down. It helps and relieves some of the stress.
5. Plan something fun. If you plan to do something fun like go hiking or go somewhere it makes you excited and makes you look forward to something.
6. Learn an instrument. If you have an old guitar lying around the house, pick it up and play it. (Playing an instrument is very helpful for me and I suggest it to everyone)
7. Listen to music and lie down. Sometimes just lying on your bed and blasting the music is one of the best ways to relive stress.
8. Play a sport you love. If you are doing what you love, it makes your day and makes a bad day, an ok one.
Those are all the ways I can think of off the top of my head! Hope this helps and I hope that I make your day! ;)

Boy Problems?

I know what it's like to have boy problems. It's a problem every girl has. I get asked what should I do? when a girl likes a guy but doesn't know how to ask him out. I got this. Here are a few scenarios that some girls are faced with:

1. You like him but he has a girlfriend. Don't go and try to steal him away from her. Just be patient and have an open mind. Sometimes the one you want isn't the one for you.

2. You like him but not sure if he like you. Talk to him. Get to know him better. If you are shy, you have to get over it. Guys like girls who speak up and who aren't wicked quiet. Don't be too loud and aggressive. After a while, you have to decide if you still like him or if you want to date him. If you decide you want to date him, go for it. Walk up to him (when you two are both alone) and say to him, "Hey, do you want to go out?" If he says yes, great! If not, just say, "Ok. Then can we still be friends?" Don't worry. It's better to have loved and lost to then have never loved at all.

3. You like him but he doesn't notice you. Give him a reason to notice you. Not in a bad way, but be more social and talk to him. Get to know him. Become friends with him.

4. You like him but you two are friends. Keep it in the friend zone for now. Find out if he likes anyone else. If not, go for it.

5. He likes you but you don't like him. Don't be mean. Just nicely tell him that you don't have feelings like that for him. Ask to just be friends. No one can make you date anyone.

6. You like him but he likes your best friend. Don't get into a fight with your friend and don't try to steal him. Tell her your happy for her and wish her the best. If things don't work out for them, calmly tell her you have feelings for him.

7. You like more then one guy. Get to know each guy. Then decide which one you want to date.

8. You have never had a boyfriend before and you want one. Never just get a boyfriend just to have one. You want to date someone you actually like for who they are.

If you want you can leave me a comment or message and I'll write back to you and try and help you. ;) Hope this helped.

Being a Vegan

A lot of people don't know what being a vegan is. It is basically not eating anything made from animals. This includes: Eggs, dairy, leather, wool, and things made from animals or by animals. I was a vegan for a week and I was miserable. I ate Cheerios, and soy milk. I was so sad... Anyways, if you are interested in being a vegan, there are some things you should know. First off, being a vegan, you need to have vitamin pills to get the nutrients you need. You also need to talk to your doctor just to double check. If you are trying to lose weight then this will be very effective. If you only eat organic, healthy, and nutritious foods, and workout, you will be in great shape. If you are being a vegan for animal rights, that's cool too. I'm a vegetarian and totally get that. Anyways, I hope that this helped you. Remember, getting protein is a big problem for vegans so make sure you take to your doctor before being a vegan. (If you want, you can start off vegetarian and see how you do.

What not to bring to school

Here are 5 things that you should never bring to school.

1. Weapons of any kind. This is obvious.

2. Valuable technology. Never bring your expensive camera, iPad, iPod, or any other device that is valuable to you.

3. Your personal notebook. Never bring this because if someone sees it and reads it, they will tell everyone.

4. Valuable jewelry. You don't want to lose your valuable jewelry because someone took it. And you might lose it.

5. A lot of sports equipment. It's not smart to bring a ton of your sports stuff to school with you because you don't have any where to put it, you have to carry it after school, and someone might take it.

Summer Hair Care

During the summer, hair can be a problem. You go swimming in the pool, you are out in the sun, you are running around and getting all sweaty, ect. This can damage your hair. Not saying that sweat damages your hair, just that it makes it dirty. Another thing that's bad for your hair, is putting it up after you take a shower. It pulls your hair and can actually cause something called "Hair mold." It doesn't happen if you do that once or twice. You get it after you put your hair up after you take a shower (Right after you take a shower and your hair is soaking wet.) It's good for you hair if you keep it down. It doesn't pull you hair and it will actually dry faster. Also Herbal Essences is a good shampoo that I recommend. *Important!* If you went swimming in a pool or ocean, take a shower! The chlorine is bad for your hair and skin. It makes it dry. The salt from the sea also isn't as bad as chlorine but it isn't the best.* If you wear your hair up a lot, wear it down. It will be better for you hair because the roots are pulled on when you put your hair up. Hope this helps! :)

What to have in your purse for back to school

Right now in your bag you probably only have your phone, some gum, maybe some lip gloss and touch up makeup, and that's it. When you back to school, you want to be prepared. It is the worst thing to realize that you are missing something that you need at that moment. Trust me, it has happened on many occasions. What I recommend having in your purse when you are at school is:

1.Some touch up makeup. Never know when you need to re-apply some eyeshadow or concealer. What ever you think will come off during the day.

2. Your phone. TURN IT OFF! Teachers HATE when kids' phones go off. Turn it on when you get outside school of right after your last class.

3. Your wallet. For lunch money or after school if you need to take the bus of grab something to eat. Be careful on how much money you bring. People might take it. Just be aware.

4. Note pad and pen. Never know when you need to make a quick note of something.

5. Breath mints. Fresh smelling breath is always nice to have.

6. Pads or tampons. You never know right? And your friend will be very happy if you have one and she needs one.

7. Hand Sanitizer. If you get some ink on your hands from your pen or there is a virus going around, it's good to have some hand sanitizer.

8. Hand lotion. I just keep some in my bag because some times my hands get dry.

9. Tide stain stick. If you get a stain on your clothes it works very well and you will be very happy if you have it and need it.

10. Organizer/Planner. If you get an agenda book from your school that's great but if you don't you should get one. It is really helpful and helps keep you organized.
That's all for now! Question of this post: What do have in your bag for school?

Vegetarian's Guide to Food (dinner)

I have been a vegetarian for a while and love it. I am the only one in my family who is and that can be a problem. A lot of girls are the only vegetarians in their families and trust me, I feel your pain. I will walk into my kitchen and see a slab of steak on the counter and cringe. I do however, have a mom who totally is aware that I don't eat meat, so she makes other food for me. Some great vegetarian foods are:
1. Salad. Who can go wrong with salad. My mom makes a great salad with bread in it and it's so good! Regular salads will be enough ;)
2. Couscous. For those of you who aren't familiar with couscous, it's a grain from the Middle East and is kind of like rice. There is whole grain couscous and regular but the whole grain has better nutritional value. You can buy it in any store and there are directions on the box. *Note* Couscous takes on the flavor of the things you put in it. So if you put onions in it it will taste different than without onions.
3. Veggies. Obviously these are a great choice.
4. Vegetarian wraps. They are great with mayo and lettuce and tomatoes. There is a great one at Au Bon Pain and it is called the Mediterranean vegetarian wrap. It has humus in it and a bunch of other stuff. It is so good!
5. Rice. You can mix some rice with some veggies and make kind of a stir fry.
6. Pasta. Pasta is another starch but totally vegetarian.
*Note* Eating a lot of starches can be bad for you. Make sure you are getting a good source of protein and iron.
Hope this helped! ;)

Back to school tips

Back to school is on every one's mind now and I know it's sad but it is something to think about! During the school year I find that I lose weight sometimes  (I'm not on a diet or need to be or anything) because I'm stressed with everything and sacrifice my body for my mind and school. I need to have something that keeps me awake during the day because I have insomnia (It means I can't sleep)  and it takes me forever to fall asleep. A typical day last year was bad. Here it is:
Wake up at 6:50-ish.
Get dressed
Nibble on something
Get books in bag
Leave for school
Don't eat lunch
Come home
Do homework
Study
Eat dinner
Watch TV
eat dessert
go to bed and start the process over again. It's really unhealthy and it wasn't until a very close friend told me that I had to stop and when I nearly passed out in school, when I realized I needed to stop. I ate better, got more sleep, and felt better. You need to have breakfast before school. I know if you say you don't have time. Make time. Get up earlier. Taking away a little sleep for more energy later is worth it. And if you go to bed earlier, then you don't lose as much sleep. Don't take energy drinks. You will feel jittery and then crash and feel sleepy. Drink water or some OJ. In the morning have some wholewheat toast with some butter. It's really good. Tea is also good for you. (Green Tea.) Coffee is like an energy drink. It makes you crash. A bagel is also good to eat. For lunch have something you will eat and enjoy. And have a light snack when you come home, some fruit or veggies make great snacks. I will also do a great vegetarian guide to eating well. *Note* eating little food is bad for you and causes you to gain weight. Your body goes into starvation mode and stores fat inside it, making you gain weight.

Great tips for staying healthy

Since it's summer, you want to stay active and be healthy. (Who doesn't want to look good in their bathing suit?) Being active is a great way to stay healthy and it makes you feel better. When you exercise your body releases endorphins and endorphins make you happy. *CAUTION If you are new to exercising and you work out to hard, you can get hurt. Pace yourself. Being active isn't the only way to be healthy. Eating right is a big part of feeling and looking good. My dad lost a lot of weight just by eating right. He said it was because of portion control. He would have huge portions and that caused weight gain. Also snacking. If you are hungry, don't grab a bag of chips. Get an apple or fruit. Drinking water is also a great way to stay hydrated and healthy. Especially because of the heat waves that has been going on in the world, it is important to drink a lot of water. Another great drink to have is carrot juice. I know it sounds weird but it's great for you. Protein plays a big part of what I eat because I am a vegetarian. I have to have enough protein to stay healthy. (I'll do a whole post about being a vegetarian and being vegan) You pretty much want to have a bit of everything in your diet. Just saying a great breakfast and sometimes snack is Special K dark chocolate. It's so good! You can et any kind of Special K but I love dark chocolate. =) Question of this post ( I know I need a better name...) What do you do to stay healthy??

What's in my bag?

So there are a lot of videos on YouTube that are "What's in my purse" or "What's in my bag" and I thought it would be fun to write a blog post about it. So I have just a regular type of bag I got at Old Navy it has a long  strap and it's all cotton cloth. It's a summer bag and it has a black and white (and some gray) floral print on it. It wasn't that expensive and I think it was like 12 dollars or something. Anyway, here is what I keep in my bag:
1. My phone (Basically that's in every one's bag.)
2. A Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea hand lotion (I just keep in in there in case my skin feels dry)
3. A Sephora mirror
4. A little bag of makeup which has- chap stick, lip gloss, blush, and lip shine
5. A bottle of water
6. My wallet
7. My retainer case (yes I wear a retainer)
8. some hair bands
And that's it! Leave a comment saying what's in your bag!

Brushes

Makeup brushes are the tools of the makeup artist. It is literally like art on your face. ;) Here are the most used brushes and the most popular:
1. Foundation Brush. As it's name implies, it is used to put on foundation. I don't use foundation because I like to have a more natural look and I just don't really like to use foundation. I have a foundation brush but I use it to apply masks instead of foundation.
2. Blush. Again it's name implies that you use it to apply blush.
3. Eyeshadow- This brush is the one I use the most out of all my brushes. I love this brush because I use it to blend the color.
4. Kabuki- A kabuki brush is a short little brush that has a really big bristles. It's like a shorter blush brush with a bigger top.
5. Eyebrow brush- This brush is to shape your eyebrows

Must have make up in a makeup collection

If you are staring your makeup collection or just want to expand it, here are some must haves. The first must have for your makeup collection is:
1.For eyes: I have a medium size eye shadow pallet from elf (which is not that expensive and pretty reasonable.) The colors in it aren't that crazy like hot pink or neon green. It has colors that could be used everyday. The second thing that is in every girl's makeup bag is mascara. Mascara is great for making your eyes pop. You can get a good mascara from CVS or a drug store for about 6 or 7 dollars. *Important tip about mascara! After you dip your mascara wand in the bottle, take a paper towel and wipe the brush so you get rid of excess mascara. It helps prevent clumps in your eyelashes. Also if you get a eyelash comb and comb your eyelashes, it takes the clumps out. The final must have for eyes is eyeliner. There are 4 different types of liners: liquid, pencil, felt tip, and crayon. I use a pencil but most people use liquid because it's easier to use. A nice brown, dark blue, and black are good liner colors. The trick to using liner is not to go to heavy. It looks bad when you have too much liner. If you want a subtle look with a little touch of liner, take your liner and line your lower lash line on the outer corners of your eyes. It gives a nice effect.
2. For lips: Chap stick. I use chap stick as the base for some lipsticks and glosses. Healthy lips are hydrated lips! =) (USE A CHAP STICK THAT HAS SPF!) There aren't a ton of things you need for your lips. Just a light pink lipstick and maybe some gloss or lip shine.
3. For face: Concealer. Concealer is kind of the magic wand of the girl world. It hides imperfections and gives a flawless effect. The places where concealer is used the most is on acne, under the eyes where dark circles are, and around the nose (if you get redness around your nose like some people do). When you pick a concealer, pick one that doesn't match your exact skin tone. You pick one that is slightly lighter then it. Picking a concealer is tricky but if you look long enough and hard enough, you'll find it =). The last thing that is a must have for the face is blush. A dusty rose color (which is a light pink) is usually used and preferred by many girls including me. The two most popular types of blushes are: Powder (which is the most common) and mouse (which is what I use.) Mouse stays on better and it's just what I prefer but you can use what ever type you want. *NOTE: These products are just what are in the makeup bags of people I know and my self. You do not have to go out and buy all the products listed.

How to get rid of dark circles

I know this is a problem for a lot of people and it is a problem for me too. My dark circles are bad and it bothers me a lot. I usually use a cream based concealer to hide them and it usually does the job. But if you want to make them go away (not completely but be less noticeable without makeup) than this tip will really help. I take a face towel and make it damp. Then I put it in the freezer for about an hour to two hours. After I take it out of the freezer, I put it on my eyes and keep it there for about 20-30 minutes. This tip really works and is a great inexpensive way to get rid of dark circles. Another way you can reduce dark circles is to get more sleep. If you are stressed and don't get enough sleep, it causes you to get very dark circles. Finally, one of the most simple ways to reduce dark circles, is to drink a lot of water. I know I have said this in previous blog posts, but it really is the simplest way to help your body.

Skin Care- The truth (part 2)

here are the remedies that I said I would list in my last post.

1.( For red irritated skin)- I know how crazy this sounds but it works. Trust me I've used it! Take some all natural yogurt in a bowl. (vanilla. I use Chobani Greek Yogurt. It's nice and thick) Then using a foundation brush dip it in the bowl of yogurt and spread it all on your face. So pretty much an edible mask. =)  Wait 15- 20 minutes and then wash it off. Your skin will feel really good and smooth after you do this. It also feels amazing. If you want more information on how to make a mask go to bubzbeauty channel on YouTube and look up her tutorial. It's called- healthy skin and hair trick

2. OK this one is simple- WATER! Just drink a lot of water. Hydrated skin is healthy skin. =)

3. Another edible face mask is oatmeal. You take a fist full of oatmeal, run water over your fist so that the water gets in the spaces. When you open your fist, the oatmeal should be soft and not rough. The just rub the oatmeal over your face. It's a messy facial so i suggest doing it where you won't make a huge mess. After wash away with lukewarm water.

4. There is a facial kit that I have been using for a while that I really like. Its a DHC kit and it includes a facial milk, acne toner, acne wash, and spot treatment. The spot treatment is for if there is like on huge zit  you just use it on that.

Theses are the skin remedies that I use. Till next time!

Skin Care- The truth

So I know a lot of people who tell me "I hate my skin!" or "Why does my skin breakout so much?" Well I have the truth about skin care. Every person's skin is different. There are people who have very oily skin, people with dry skin, people with dry patches and oily spots. For example, when I was in the fifth grade, my hair was a mess. It was pretty gross and I cringe every time I think about it. So since my hair was dirty, the oils from my hair would go onto my face because I would have my hair in my face. Because my hair was in my face I got breakouts around my forehead and in my T zone. (In case you don't know what the T zone is it's the area on your nose, forehead, and on your cheeks. It forms a T.) But after I realized that my hair was the cause of my bad skin, I took better care of my hair and my skin cleared up after using some products which I will list in a minute. So if you have bad acne then I suggest thinking of why you get breakouts. Here are some reasons:

1. you have your hair in your face. (Your hair doesn't even have to be dirty to give you a breakout! I suggest a headband)
2. Hormones. If you are at that age where you go through puberty, of course you will get some zits! Everyone does at one point.)
3. You touch your face a lot. You have oils on your hands and when you touch your face you get them on your skin and they clog your pores.
4. You don't wash your face every day.

Those are some of the reasons why your skin might breakout. But luckily I know some remedies for bad skin that aren't that expensive!

I will list them in my next blog post!

Makeup- the truth

So some girls say that makeup makes girls superficial. Well actually, most girls just want to wear makeup to feel pretty and to feel good about themselves. They are insecure about how they look so they try and hide imperfections. I won't lie and say that I don't use makeup or say that I don't feel insecure sometimes... I do. Who doesn't? No ones perfect. But if you do want to wear makeup, don't plaster it all over your face. I use concealer to hide my dark circles and some eye shadow (not really dark or bright colors). I use some light champagne eyeshadow to give a nice natural look and some light lipgloss. It's a nice summer look which is great and natural. Makeup is supposed to enhance your natural beauty, not cover it up! Hope you enjoyed my first blog post!
